Biography Dennis Braunsdorf
Dennis Braunsdorf (born in 1988) is a music composer and technologist.
In 2011 he founded ‘Braunsdorf Music’ and is part of ‘The Solos’ team.
Dennis specialised in orchestral and electronic compositions for media, in particular for Hollywood movie trailers.
In the last years he has established a list of credits, including compositions for Hollywood movie trailers, movies, shows, commercials, documentaries and short films.
Dennis developed a music production technique to create a unique sound pallet for each project. For this technique Dennis achieved in 2014 the Buma music in motion Award.
Beside of this, he founded together with Alexander Mooij the audio technology company called Prolody. They are a team of passionate music technologists working together to create practical and beautiful audio experiences. Prolody aims to bridge the gap between humans and technology through sound.
Dennis academic path started in 2009 by studying ‘composition and music production’ at the University of the Arts Utrecht (HKU) in the Netherlands. In 2013 he archived both a Bachelor of Music with honours at HKU and a Master of Arts degree at the Open University of England. In 2015 Dennis achieved a Master of Music degree at HKU.
Since 2014 he is a Ph.D. candidate at the Bournemouth University in England. The context of Dennis research comprises an autoethnografic study of his compositional process with the aid of a newly designed software.
